- Oral hygiene cannot be assessed
Oral hygiene cannot be assessed
Check this option if a technical or clinical obstacle prevents the examination despite reasonable efforts by the care team.

Examples of common situations:
-
The patient firmly refuses the insertion of the Odontoscope® into the mouth, even after a kind explanation and reassurance attempts.
-
Frequent cases: cognitive impairment, suspected pain, jaw clenching, or agitation that prevents proper insertion or maintenance of the Odontoscope.
-
Presence of pain, lesions, or oral hypersensitivity that prevents device insertion (e.g., ulcers, fungal infections, mucositis, etc.).
-
Removable denture in place that the patient refuses to remove.
-
Technical or material issue: Odontoscope is damaged or deformed, making proper insertion impossible.
-
Defective lighting (e.g., broken smartphone flashlight or blocked access to the camera).
-
Blurry or poorly centered images, with the area of interest not visible.
